The Iron Circle

Guild Structure & Protocols

The Way of Iron

Organization is critical when it comes to working together and accomplishing our goals. Guild ranks are used to distribute the responsibility of managing and organizing the guild during PvE and RP encounters, and the guild as a whole. As the Iron Circle continues to grow there will always be room for advancement, however, we always look to feedback from our members no matter the rank. Please remember although the guild is very cooperative in nature and many of our decisions are based on feedback and constructive conversation, the rank structure is managed in a way that is in the best interest of guild development and is done by its founders: the Guild Master and his officers.

Command Structure

Iron Warlord

Guild Leader / Community Leader

The Guild Leader is in charge of steering the overall guild direction and storylines that take place throughout our many gaming chapters, constructing, maintaining, and changing OOC guild structure when it's required, primary organizer for guild meetings, guild website administration, handling of recruitment of officers, and works with other guild leaders on inter-guild storylines, community RP, and PvP Alliances.

Seneschal

Second in Command

The Seneschal assists in steering the overall direction fo the guild, organizes and runs guild events as necessary, works with the community and other guilds to setup alliances and community RP outreach events. CMs are also in charge of recruitment interviews and initiations of all new members to the IC Gaming Community.

Iron Vanguard

Veteran

The Iron Vanguard, a Veteran of the Circle, is a rank representing those who have demonstrated a commitment to the guild, and proven themselves time and again to be an example to others looking to advance to follow. Veteran - Iron Vanguard players are active participants in virtually all guild activities.

Captain

Guild Officer

Guild Officers are responsible for reviewing applications, and constructively assisting those who fall short of our expectations or approve those who are found to be a good fit for the Iron Circle. They are also required to uphold the integrity and ensure the cohesiveness of all members within the greater gaming community.

Old Timer

Veteran

Veteran Old Timers are guild members who at one point or another were able to commit the time and effort required to put into the guild in order to help us achieve great things. Those who eventually burn out or decide to play much more casually in comparison to the core group for any particular game are posted here.

Legionnaire

Member

A member is someone who has successfully completed the probationary period, and also has expressed interest in becoming a more involved member of the IC Gaming Community. Members are actively striving to improve their skill in games that IC chooses to play in as a guild, those who show interest in increasing their standing within the community will eventually be promoted to Veteran status.

Mercenary

Recruit

Newly admitted recruits who are looking to achieve Member status. This is considered an introductory rank to determine if you're a good fit for the guild in terms of skill and personality. Signing up is the first step to joining our community, but just because you show up doesn't mean that membership is guaranteed.

We are looking for long-term players who want a home of tightly knit friends who enjoy gaming together. We want to create a guild that supersedes the existence of the game. Meaning the game is merely a forum for the guild to develop further as a means to an end, not the other way around. The guild does not exist solely for the purpose of any game we play, many of us have been gaming together for years and through multiple games and wish to add more players to that list and continue that tradition.
